Core Theological Commitments—Treasuring Truth Ministries exists to proclaim the riches of Scripture through expository exultation—unfolding the Word of God in a way that fuels worship, deepens intimacy, and treasures truth as the supreme joy of the soul.

1. The Supremacy of God’s Glory in All Things

We affirm that the ultimate purpose of all creation, redemption, and revelation is the glory of God. Every doctrine, every page of Scripture, and every human soul exists to magnify the infinite worth of God in Christ.
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.” — Romans 11:36

2. The Centrality of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the radiance of God’s glory and the centerpiece of redemptive history. We proclaim Christ from all the Scriptures as the fullness of God in bodily form and the only hope of eternal life.
“Him we proclaim... that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” — Colossians 1:28

3. The Inspiration, Inerrancy, and Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the God-breathed, inerrant, infallible Word of God—our supreme authority in all matters of faith and life. It is not only to be studied, but treasured.
“The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.” — Psalm 119:72

4. Expository Exultation

We embrace preaching that not only explains the meaning of the text but exults in its majesty. True preaching is both exposition and worship—truth that sets the heart ablaze.
“Did not our hearts burn within us while He spoke to us on the road, while He was opening the Scriptures to us?” — Luke 24:32

5. Salvation by Sovereign Grace

We affirm that salvation is of the Lord—from election to glorification—by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Regeneration is a supernatural work of the Spirit, not a product of human will.
“It depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.” — Romans 9:16

6. Union with Christ and Eternal Intimacy

The goal of the gospel is not merely justification but union—eternal communion with God through Christ. We are drawn into fellowship with the Trinity by the Spirit through the Word.
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” — John 17:3

7. The Necessity of the Holy Spirit

We depend entirely on the person and power of the Holy Spirit to illuminate Scripture, apply salvation, sanctify believers, and awaken spiritual affections for God.
“No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 12:3

8. The Beauty of Holiness and the Battle for Joy

We believe holiness is not drudgery, but delight. True sanctification is fueled by the superior joy of knowing Christ. We fight sin not merely by discipline, but by desire transformed.
“You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy.” — Psalm 16:11

9. The Urgency of the Great Commission

We exist not only to exalt Christ in private devotion but to proclaim Him publicly—making disciples of all nations through preaching, teaching, and sacrificial love.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...” — Matthew 28:19

The Covenant Flame and the Soul’s Delight A Manifesto of Christian Hedonism

1. God is the supreme treasure of the soul.

We believe that the triune God is not only infinitely glorious but infinitely satisfying. The end of theology is not mere knowledge but worshipful enjoyment. The soul was made not only to glorify God, but to delight in Him forever—because God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

2. God relates to man through covenants.

We affirm with the Westminster Confession of Faith that God has voluntarily condescended to reveal Himself through covenants—specifically through the Covenant of Works with Adam, and the Covenant of Grace revealed after the Fall, culminating in the New Covenant in Christ. These covenants are not legal relics—they are relational bridges—God binding Himself to His people in mercy, judgment, and joy.

3. The Covenant of Grace is one in substance, diverse in administration.

There has always been one Gospel, one Mediator, one way of salvation—by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. The Old Covenant saints were saved by looking forward to the Messiah in shadow; we are saved by beholding Him in substance. From Abraham’s tent to Pentecost’s fire, the Covenant of Grace has unfolded through divine administration, promising that God will be our God, and we His people—a promise sealed to believers and their children.

4. The sacraments are means of grace, not ends in themselves.

We embrace the visible sacraments—baptism and the Lord’s Supper—as divinely ordained means of grace, signifying and sealing God’s covenant promises. They are no empty rituals. They are spiritual feasts, not because of physical elements, but because the Spirit of God lifts the soul to commune with Christ through faith.

5. Joy is not peripheral—it is essential.

In worship, obedience, suffering, and mission, I believe joy is not optional but essential. Cold doctrine dishonors the warmth of God. We do not seek emotionalism, but neither do we sever the head from the heart. Theology must burn, not merely inform. The goal of sound doctrine is white-hot doxology. The marrow of covenant theology is union with Christ, and union with Christ must erupt in pleasure in God above all else.

6. All theology must bend toward communion.

Theology is a map of the soul’s journey into God. The covenants, sacraments, and confessions exist not to end in themselves, but to usher me into the beatific vision—to behold the beauty of the Lord and dwell in His presence forever. We embrace the Westminster Standards because they shape the contours of covenant fidelity. We embrace Christian Hedonism because it animates those contours with affections worthy of God’s worth.

Final Word:

We are Christian Hedonism. We live under the canopy of God's covenants and feast on His pleasures forevermore. We do not seek joy apart from God—but joy in God, as the apex of His glory and the satisfaction of our souls.
